My favorite Halloween decoration is a tombstone that we made for the yard that read, I Told You I was Sick. Don’t get me wrong — I love the Here Lies Mozart, Decomposing, and the I Made an Ash of Myself epitaphs, just not as much as I Told You I Was Sick. It smacks of indignation and insidiousness and spite. It tells a story.
